ART: Ombre Hearts Available!!

Time is so precious these days. If I stay still I feel like I am either going to fall ASLEEP or die of boredom! So, I keep moving. Ever feel like that?

Anyway, with some time on my hands, I managed to paint (2) more pieces yesterday! 

The Ombre' Hearts original paintings have now been added to my online gallery! We no longer have a timer, so you can buy at your own convenience as well as choose the frame style you like, directly off the site. These watercolor+acrylic pieces are 30"x37" and are so much PRETTIER in person, I guarantee you!  

I think they would look FAB in a home office, or in a nursery. The Ombre Hearts painting represents many things, but it is mostly a happy painting - that reminds me that we do NOT have to be PERFECT......hence the imperfect details on the hearts. Hope you like them!

NEW ART AT MADE BY GIRL

Hey everyone!

It's been awhile since we've done a painting sale......I've been busy working on quite a few things. Being a mom, working a few collaborations with other companies, paintings commissions & possibly even starting another company, so stay tuned to hear more!! - Woo Hoo!  But today, I'd like to introduce you to 5 NEW (5"X7") MINI Colors paintings! Although one of the pieces is not pictured below, it is available in the online gallery!

Dagne Dover + Made By Girl

If you didn't know,  I recently collaborated with Dagne Dover. A handbag company that focuses on sophisticated &  organized handbags for the modern woman. Their bags are the most functional bags I've owned. In fact, I can't say enough of how functional they are on he inside, while still looking beautiful on the outside. I own their black 15 inch tote and if you're a business owner like myself, this bag is great! This design is very well thought out and even allows a protective slot for my laptop! With that said... when they approached me about a collaboration - I was on-board! 

We collaborated on around 45 items (card cases + handbags) which I hand-painted myself with my signature style. There are limited quantities available & they're almost all sold out. You can view the entire collection here.  It includes brushstrokes, lipstick kisses & flamingos!

Weekend

Hey everyone!  

Just popping in to wish you a great weekend!!  I have been in the process of (once again) hiring a new nanny & it's been a bit time consuming.  However, looks like we are making headway this week finally!!  I have also been BUSY painting pieces for clients, like this one below. A large lipstick dots painting similar to the first one I ever did!

New Made By Girl ART + New Site!!

Hey everyone!! 

After not adding paintings to the online gallery for a couple months, I have now added some NEW  pieces including several (pre-framed) colors paintings!  I recently painted some art that was inspired by the GORGEOUS carpets I've seen in local shops along with the Morrocan style rugs I love so much! -  These new additions are currently listed as 'Rug Style' - and they have a slight abstract-feel to them.  I love beautiful, colorful rugs and thought this would be a great addition to my online gallery.  Hope you like them!!

NOTE: My apologies.....the pricing on some of the paintings was incorrect & higher than I had requested. Sorry!!!  - That was an accident & the true pricing is now listed for each painting!

Hello!

Just a quick update to let you know that we are still working on the new re-designed Made By Girl site! In the meanwhile I am also painting a bunch of NEW art - available soon!!  I have lots of new Larger pieces too...! Here's another sneak peek!

New Year: Changes are Coming

Hey guys! Sorry I've been a bit MIA, but as I said, I will not be updating my blog on a daily-basis anymore. To tell you the truth, I just don't have the time.  But I'm hoping to update 2-3x a week. For now, we've updated the look & feel of the blog, hope you like it!  - Speaking about updating, I am STILL in the process of re-designing the MadeByGirl shop. 

We are working on a few things & these are some of the changes to come:

• New paintings being added without a flash sale.
• Larger paintings added.
• More color series art.
• 98-99% of the art sold will be only my original paintings. 
• We will probably ONLY keep 2-3 MBG prints (prob the most popular ones)
• The ones we do keep, we will be selling framed. 
• You will still have option to frame the paintings.
• I will still be accepting commissions, so you are welcomed to email me. 
• New photos will  be added of the artwork & more.

If you hadn't heard, please read this post on why I'm shutting down a portion of my business. Stay tuned - it's a whole different ball game running a biz and being a mom. I'm sure some of you can relate & know what I mean! - Have a great week!
