Home: Katie Kime

Katie Kime is an Interiors and + Fashion designer based in Texas. She has a colorful & bold preppy style that captures the eye immediately. Her prints are eye-catching & so is her home which was featured here in Lonny Mag back in 2015. You have to check it out for some amazing home inspiration! Katie Kime seems to live her life in color, from green foliage to animal prints, her patterns are a must-have in a home or wardrobe.

Personally,  my favorite area in her home are the spotted wallpaper in the dining area + the large closet with the banana leaves wallpaper.  All which can be purchased via her online shop.

I hope to one day collaborate with Katie Kime, she's amazing!

Design: Throwback of My Apartment

Earlier this year, I was featured in a popular Decor magazine called Casa e Jardim from Brazil.

I don't believe I ever shared all these photos on my blog....so I wanted to post them today.  The photos were shot earlier this year when Noah was much younger & wasn't standing or walking yet...hence, why the coffee table is styled so nicely in the pic below! Ha! These days, the apartment is not as nicely decorated because having a toddler changes everything! Simple things like a glass vase are now considered "armed & dangerous." haha

This apartment holds so many memories but one of my favorites was decorating it.  I hope my home decor will inspire you! Please feel free to pin these pics!

DESIGN: SASHA BIKOFF

Hey everyone! How are you? It's been raining in New York City today. On rainy days I feel like I could use a bit of color inspiration! I'm sure you could do too... whether it's rainy where you are or not!  I'd like to introduce Sasha Bikoff, she's a young designer whose edgy style is really impressive in today's design scene.  She's known for her bright colors & playful style.

Her unique take on design reminds me of a Barbie's playhouse - with bright colored objects and often times touches of hot pink!  She's only 26 years old & has already been featured on countless blogs... most recently a great spread in Lonny Mag you must see here! These pics will get you started, but def head over to Lonny for more inspiration by this designer.

DESIGN: PARISIAN CHIC

Hi guys! this is Monika bringing you some decor this Friday!

This living room designed by The Design Co is one of my favorite spaces of all time and I thought I put a little inspiration to crate a similar look! I love everything about this room, from the comfy, traditional sofas with carved legs to French inspired chairs and a fabulous marble fireplace mantel. The zebra rug adds a bit of an edge and it's a perfect contemporary addition to mix thing up and contrast with the chic Parisian windows frames and classic accessories. The whole is just perfect!

DESIGNER: KELLY BEHUN

Kelly Behun was featured in Elle Decor a couple days ago as designer for a gorgeous Park Avenue home - and boy was it beautiful! I'm only showing you one photo of that gorgeous space, the rest is on Elle Decor. However here is some of her other work which is amazing too. Kelly's studio is based out of NYC & they also design funky pieces of furniture.

Interesting enough she graduated from university with a Bachelor of Science in Economics - she is now a highly sought after designer. Kelly's design work has been published in numerous magazines including Elle Decor, New York Magazine (cover story of annual design issue), House Beautiful, House and Garden & more! She's designed many homes including Ivanka Trump's NYC apartment.

Feel free to view her portfolio here.

Have a great weekend!

design: decorating your small entryway

The good thing about the entryway, is that no matter how small it is, it's possible to glam it up. A small console can go a long way with great accessories and some killer art. I love absolutely everything about those entryways below from the abstract paintings to the little furry stools and gold details. I think my heart is won by the monochrome one though, which one do you prefer??

DESIGN: NAUTICAL STYLE

Hi all, it's Monika from ohmydeco here, bringing a fresh dose of design! The summer is fully on now everywhere and all I can think about is going away somewhere hot and sandy! I've been really inspired by nautical design recently, pale colored boho accents mixed with nautical details like stripes and navy blue.  It's a perfect beach house look of course but you can also add some of those beautiful accessories to your bedroom of living room to bring the Hamptons home!
